Jackmont Hospitality to open local Washington favourite Timber Pizza at Reagan Airport

USA. Jackmont Hospitality and joint venture partner Baldi Management Group are to open a local favourite pizza restaurant at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

Timber Pizza will be part of the food & beverage programme at the airport’s new concourse, which is set to open in 2021.

Known for its ‘Neopolitan-ish’ wood-fired pizzas, the original Timber Pizza restaurant was founded by Andrew Dana and Chris Brady and is located in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington D.C. Among other awards, Timber Pizza was named as a 2019 Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand.

Jackmont Hospitality said its goal was to ensure it translated the quality level of the streetside location to the airport. To do so, Culinary Director and two-time James Beard Best Chef nominee Chef Todd Richards will work alongside Timber Executive Chef Daniela Moreira, who has been named as an Eater ‘Young Gun’ and selected in Fodor’s ‘30 Under 30’ list.

As well as favourite Timber pizzas using locally-sourced ingredients, the airport location will offer a range of wood-fired pastries, biscuits, salad and vegetarian options.
