NETHERLANDS. Kappé International Chairman Jacques Parson was given a special accolade during a spectacular gala to celebrate Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s Consumer Awards for 2004.
The awards were given to retailers at Amsterdam Airport in four categories: Best Services, Best Innovation, Largest Growth and the Oeuvre Award.
Parson received the Oeuvre Award, a special prize to reward his contribution to Schiphol Airport during the past three decades. Both Parson and Kappé are celebrating a jubilee this year. Kappé has been operating at Schiphol for 55 years and Jacques Parson has worked at Kappé for 30 years.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol said it “recognised this great service and wanted to show its appreciation for his contribution to airport retail in general, Schiphol, See Buy Fly and Kappé International”.
Gemma Whelehan, Managing Director of Kappé, accepted the award on behalf of Jacques Parson. She thanked the airport for the award and said that Jacques had always has been proud to work at Schiphol. He also enjoyed being able to work with such a successful company with its great staff for the past 30 years and continued to look forward with optimism, she added.
