VIETNAM. Japanese travel retailer Jalux has opened its first airport retail locations outside Japan, with the launch of three stores at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport on 11 January.
Located in Terminal 2, the new stores are trading as Jalux Duty Free Vietnam – with two in Departures and one in Arrivals.
The stores are focusing on bringing Japanese brands to travellers through the Vietnamese capital – picking up on growing demand across Asia for genuine Made in Japan goods.

Jalux Taseco Duty Free, a joint venture between Jalux and Vietnamese company Thang Long Air Services Corporation (Taseco), is managing the concession.
Jalux controls 51% of the joint venture company, with Taseco holding 49%.
Jalux operates airport stores across Japan, including JAL Duty Free and Blue Sky stores.
Taseco is engaged in retailing on and off airport, along with wholesale, beverages, hotel and restaurant interests.
