JCDecaux and Vodafone target Eurostar business travellers

Vodafone UK launches its latest campaign via JCDecaux Airport at London St Pancras station

UK. JCDecaux Airport has started its digital advertising contract at the London St Pancras International Eurostar terminal with a campaign for Vodafone UK. As reported, the advertising company won the contract to install and market digital advertising locations at the terminal in October 2011.

The company has installed 32 x 40″ screens in departures and four 70″ screens in arrivals, positioned alongside information boards for maximum visibility. It is using an array of broadcasting networks – full-time, business (weekdays until 5pm) and weekender (5pm Friday through Sunday) – to target specific travellers.

Vodafone will use the departures locations to promote the Vodafone One Net service to the business audience. Four different creative executions will run across departures screens with the headline: “˜There is a better way to build your business. It’s called Vodafone One Net.’

Vodafone UK Director of Brand Marketing Danielle Crook said: “Eurostar is a good fit for our latest business campaign as it reaches businesses in a tightly targeted environment. The digital screens allow for multiple creative executions and work well with our playful campaign.”

The campaign was planned and booked for Vodafone by Kinetic.

Last year 8.8 million passengers travelled on the Eurostar train service between the UK and mainland Europe, with a third of passengers travelling for business.
