Jo Malone London has unveiled a new, limited-edition fragrance collection called London Rain. The Rain & Angelica, Wisteria & Violet, Black Cedarwood & Juniper and White Jasmine & Mint Colognes will be available in travel retail worldwide from March.
Inspired by traditional British weather, the quartet aims to capture the different moods of a downpour, the brand maintains, from the “soft sparkle” of a morning shower to a wild rainstorm at night.

“The initial concept from Jo Malone London was to create a scented portrait of London to conjure up the romantic and deeply intense rainy days,” explained Master Perfumer Christine Nagel. “Imagine the soft, bewitching scent of a light rain glistening over a wisteria tree that has wound itself around a stony wall, or the sexy aroma of pathways carpeted in moss awash with thunderous rain.”
Rain & Angelica aims to evoke glassy beads of dew in a London park at dawn. The revitalising scent features notes of angelica, lime and vetiver. Wisteria & Violet was inspired by a soft, morning shower. The juice includes violet and water lily.
White Jasmine & Mint is the olfactory embodiment of an afternoon cloudburst, drenching gardens of jasmine, lily, orange flower and rose, offset with a dash of wild mint. Black Cedarwood & Juniper completes the collection. The fragrance – described as modern and urban – evokes midnight rain. Its key ingredients are cumin, chili leaves, juniper, cedar and moss.
