Johnnie Walker has collaborated with Alfred Dunhill to create a Blue Label travel retail exclusive gift pack. The product has been launched into the channel with some high-profile activations in a number of major airports around the world.
The two British luxury brands originally joined forces last year, and this gift pack forms part of their Limited Edition Collection. It is said to be inspired by the “pioneering spirit” of John Walker and Alfred Dunhill and their journeys from Britain to all parts of the world.
To celebrate the launch of the gift pack, Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Alfred Dunhill pop-ups showcasing the product have been installed at Shanghai Pudong International Airport Terminal 2, landside at Incheon International Airport and in Concourse A at Dubai International.
Diageo Global Travel and Middle East Global Marketing Director Steve White said: “With the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Limited Edition travel retail exclusive gift pack designed by Alfred Dunhill, two British icons celebrate a shared journey towards achieving the extraordinary.
“It is therefore fitting that a travel retail exclusive gift pack has been created for global travellers to enjoy on their own great journeys.”
Designed by Alfred Dunhill, the gift pack includes a Johnnie Walker Blue Label one litre bottle embossed with a map design. Both the interior and exterior of the pack also feature the contours of a map, representing the shared journey and reflecting the travel credentials of both brands.
It features design touches identifiable with both brands, with blue colour packaging and Dunhill’s ‘chassis’ design. Its copper finishing is inspired by the copper stills used in the whisky distillation process.
The gift pack will be available to global travellers in 41 travel retail outlets at a recommended retail price of US$300.
