Laneíge takes to the travel retail stage at Nuance-Watson Singapore’s impressive new mega-store at Changi Airport T3 |
SINGAPORE. One of Asia’s largest and most powerful cosmetics houses, Amore Pacific, today made its first entrance into travel retail outside its native South Korea.
The company’s Laneíge brand has been launched at the new Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 mega-store run by Nuance-Watson (Singapore). The store celebrates its formal opening tomorrow.
The debut was driven by independent Singapore-based company Jonathan Holland & Associates, which has been appointed as managing agents for Laneíge in Asian travel retail.
“This is a special day for us” said S.W.Lee, Executive Vice President of Amore Pacific. “Working together with the specialist travel retail group Jonathan Holland & Associates, we have been able to secure a strong position in this magnificent new Nuance-Watson (Singapore) perfumes & cosmetics store in T3.
“Having spent seven years developing Laneíge across Asian domestic markets, we felt it was now the right time to enter the travel retail sector – and what a wonderful opportunity to launch in this airport.”

“We are very excited about this opportunity for two key reasons,” he told The Moodie Report. “Firstly, Laneíge is the first Asian brand in our portfolio and a very serious one at that.
“Secondly, to launch it with the region’s premier perfumes and cosmetics airport operator in arguably the world’s premier airport is undoubtedly the right way to launch a brand of this quality into the travel retail arena.”
Laneíge has been operating in Asian domestic markets for seven years and has had “immense success”, particularly in North East Asian countries such as China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Holland said. Laneíge, which means “˜the snow’ in French, is a brand for young and trendy Asian women in their 20s and early 30s. It incorporates the art of science in the form of water science technology which is applied to skincare products to create a “highly moisturized and snow-white clear skin”.
The skincare is based on four steps of clarity-moisture care, which is said to help skin to have “snow-like luminosity”.
