SINGAPORE. Jones the Grocer has unveiled a store at Changi Airport Terminal 2 – the first duplex concession in the landside area of the airport’s terminals.
The artisan café, bakery, patisserie, deli and cheesemonger has partnered with global travel restaurateur SSP Group and Changi Airport Group to deliver the gourmet dining and bar experience.
Covering more than 6,600 sq ft over two levels in the Singapore Airlines check-in zone of the revamped Terminal 2, the airport said the new establishment offers “a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere, designed to provide travellers with a comfortable and memorable dining experience”.
Jones the Grocer’s ground level, which is now open, showcases a quick-serve artisan food offer. Expert baristas pour Jones’ flat whites and offer a selection of teas, smoothies and shakes.

Customers will also be able to choose from pastries, savoury pies, gourmet sandwiches, cheese toasties and salads as well as a selection of Jones the Grocer’s grab-and-go items from a deli-style food counter.
The level above is due to open later this year and will feature expert chefs cooking globally influenced dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner from an open kitchen.
At the island bar – where diners can enjoy sweeping views across the terminal – bar staff will serve cocktails and small bites. Pizzas cooked in an Italian pizza oven will also be available.
There will also be a retail and coffee zone with interactive digital screens and gourmet retail options.

SSP Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Robinson said: “After many months of close collaboration with our partners at Changi Airport Group and Jones the Grocer International, we are delighted to be bringing Jones the Grocer to the airport, which is set to become a buzzing foodie hub which will attract travellers and locals from dawn to dusk.
“The result is a beautiful outlet on two levels, which will enhance the restaurant and shopping experience for Changi Airport passengers. Our customer insights show us that consumers are increasingly looking for healthier food choices when travelling.
“We are confident that Jones the Grocer’s high-quality offer of packaged foods and beverages, alongside its flavourful, fresh offering of handmade sauces and pastas, will be very attractive to travellers as well as local Singaporeans passing through Changi Airport.”
The first Jones the Grocer opened its doors in Sydney in 1996 and there are now over 32 stores across the Middle East and Asia.
Jones the Grocer CEO Yunib Siddiqui commented: “We are thrilled to bring back the Jones the Grocer experience to Singapore. Our partnership with SSP marks a significant brand milestone as we introduce Jones the Grocer’s first-ever duplex concession at Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 2.
