Jurlique previews its new Rose Moisture Plus range at last month’s TFWA Exhibition in Cannes |
Organic and biodynamic skin care company Jurlique previewed a selection of novelties, across its product portfolio, at last month’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.
In addition, Jurlique International Marketing Director Sylvie Mong de Verchere praised the performance of the brand’s Purely White range, launched earlier this year. “In certain domestic markets, such as Hong Kong and Japan, it’s ranking top ten, and already accounts for around 3% of our total sales,” she explained. “For certain travel retailers, for example DFS, it accounts for around 6%.”
Jurlique has taken steps to raise its visibility in the channel this year, through HPPs such as its debut animation at Hong Kong International Airport. “Our goal is to drive awareness, recruit new customers, grow our distribution, build loyalty and emphasise our skin care expertise,” noted Mong de Verchere.
Key novelties for the second half of 2011 include the Purely Age-Defying Ultra Firm and Lift Cream 50ml. “We are well known for our natural heritage, but we also want to underline the scientifically proven results of our skin care, particularly in the field of anti-ageing,” noted Mong de Verchere.
Accordingly, the latest addition to the Purely Age-Defying range is described as a high-performance anti-ageing treatment that combines the latest in scientific skin care ingredients with the power of Jurlique’s biodynamic blend of plant botanicals.
It is said to firm, lift and strengthen skin, leaving it smooth, hydrated and renewed. The key ingredients are an amino acid lipid (to lift and redefine facial contours); a marine plant extract (to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles); and a natural repair agent to activate collagen synthesis and restructure skin.
Jurlique will target younger consumers with its new Rose Moisture Plus range. The trio of products – a moisturising cleanser, a rosewater balancing mist and a moisturising cream – are said to deliver intense hydration while protecting against free radicals, to restore the skin’s natural balance.
“Consumers in their twenties don’t need lots of products and procedures,” noted Mong de Verchere. “This range offers them a simple and effective solution.”
Lastly, Jurlique has created two new body creams, one scented with rose; the other with jasmine. Richer than the brand’s body lotions, they are said to be ideal for dry skin.
