Karelia launches menthol variant for Omé cigarette brand

Karelia’s Omé super slims cigarettes

GREECE. Omé, the new super slims cigarette range by Greek supplier Karelia Tobacco Company, has made a splash in the French domestic market since the beginning of the year. The launch took place in co-operation with Villiger and Altadis France.

“We are enthusiastic about the prospects for the Omé range,” said Karelia Public Relations Manager Joanna Kamarinopoulos.

“The results are very encouraging, with both the Omé and Omé Yellow version having been well accepted by consumers, especially in countries like Spain, where we are quite happy with the brand’s initial performance.”

A new Menthol variant, Omé Menthol (4mg), has just been launched in the UK, and more countries are likely to follow.

Since it was first introduced last year, the Omé range has been successfully launched in 20 international duty free and domestic markets in Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Omé super slim cigarettes are packaged in a compact ‘lipstick box’ format, containing 20 cigarettes, which is said to easily fit into a handbag or pocket.

Omé is currently available in three versions: Omé (6mg), Omé Menthol (4mg) and Omé Yellow (3mg).
