Kiehl’s continues travel retail expansion – 18/03/09

Kiehl’s is expanding its travel retail presence, with new doors at Frankfurt, Munich and Moscow

FRANCE. The Kiehl’s brand (part of the L’Oréal group) is set to further expand its travel retail presence this summer, with openings at Munich Airport in June, and at Moscow Sheremetyevo Terminal 3 in July.

These openings come hot on the heels of a new Kiehl’s store at Frankfurt Airport terminal two, in partnership with Gebr Heinemann, which began trading on 6 February.

The Frankfurt store is the brand’s third travel retail opening in Europe, after Copenhagen Airport in 2007, and London Heathrow T5, in 2008.

The Frankfurt door covers 25sq m, and provides passengers with the opportunity to receive personalised consultations.

The store features all Kiehl’s signature elements, such as a brick wall, neon lights, antique apothecary jars, and the famous “Mr Bones” skeleton.

These are complemented by travel-related props such as a vintage leather suitcase and stunt planes.
