Mr Bones the skeleton, a staple character at Kiehl’s Since 1851, has helped spread the word about the Kiehl’s brand throughout the globe. His presence in-store references the company’s unique apothecary heritage.
Most recently, L’Oréal Luxe Travel Retail Americas staged a “˜Meet Mr Bones’ event within a pop-up Kiehl’s store at the DFS Galleria in Waikiki. Customers were invited to dress up the skeleton in their own creative way, using accessories such as funky hats, wigs and moustaches. Participants then had their photographs taken with Mr Bones; customers could either take these home or leave them on the Kiehl’s community wall.

While in-store, customers also received a complimentary skincare consultation courtesy of a Kiehl’s skin care expert, and enjoy a selection of samples. The additional space designed for the event was personalised with visuals, screens and light boxes.
