NETHERLANDS. Dutch airline KLM will grow total passenger capacity in its summer schedule by +8% compared to a year ago, boosted by a +20% increase on Asian routes, it said this week.
According to Reuters, the carrier, which is scheduled to be taken over by Air France, said its passenger capacity for the summer has been set at 46 million available seat kilometres.
KLM attributed a strong capacity recovery in Asia to a pick-up in demand following last year’s containment of the SARS outbreak as well as additional landing and fly-over rights.
