SWITZERLAND. La Prairie has unveiled a new anti-ageing treatment which it describes as its most brilliant scientific achievement to date. Cellular Power Infusion, on-counter at the end of August, is said to use a unique three-dimensional, “age-defiance system” to restore the skin – at any stage of the ageing process – to a more youthful state. According to La Prairie, its threefold action secures the cellular energy supply and protects it from the effects of external stress; supports the skin’s own renewal mechanisms; and supplements its natural structural rebuilding.

La Prairie’s Cellular Power Infusion, which features a unique three-fold anti-ageing action, will be available from August |
“The significance of Cellular Power Infusion lies in the development of a radical three-pronged approach that simultaneously treats the key factors that contribute to skin ageing: loss of energy, handicapped functionality of skin cells and a general weakening of skin tissue,” explained La Prairie Vice President Research and Development Dr Sven Gohla.
“This important breakthrough is at the forefront of cellular communication, for long the core of La Prairie’s scientific research. It enabled us to produce a truly game-changing skin treatment that dramatically slows down the ageing process by striking at every aspect of the skin’s make-up.”
Firstly, Cellular Power Infusion is claimed to reverse cellular energy loss by activating cellular power stations and securing a continuous flow of energy to the cells. This recharges the skin with the vital energy essential to its optimal functioning.
Secondly, the treatment is said to protect and renew skin cells by reawakening epidermal stem cells, allowing new cells, full of moisture and energy, to rise to the surface. It also triggers the natural renewal of skin cells and provides a defence shield that protects the cells against environmental stress.
Thirdly, Cellular Power Infusion helps support the rebuilding of the skin’s structure and the renewal of skin tissue. In addition, it helps to reintegrate the cells in ageing skin to restore firmness and elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The formula contains five key components, together with patented and patent-pending discoveries in tissue engineering and cellular communication. These include Swiss snow algae, a skin renewal peptide, a phyto stem cell extract, a tissue guidance matrix and La Prairie’s signature Exclusive Cellular Complex.
The active ingredients of Cellular Power Infusion are so pure and powerful that, for optimal performance, they must be freshly combined immediately before application and are therefore stored separately in a two-part glass bottle.
Consumers should turn the silver base of the bottle to the right until the window changes from lavender to silver, and a click is audible. The contents should then be shaken well. An “explosion of brilliant blue energy” is visible, as the activated concentrate is injected into the clear serum, and the combined ingredients take on a uniform lilac tone. Once the two phases combine, the Cellular Power Infusion remains active for seven to 10 days’ use.
Cellular Power Infusion should be applied to thoroughly cleansed face, neck and décolleté, twice daily for 28 to 40 days, to coincide with the skin’s natural renewal cycle. After the initial treatment, the process should be repeated once every three months, especially after periods of excessive stress or illness, lengthy air travel or abrupt change of climate or season.
Cellular Power Infusion is presented in four x 7.8ml individual bottles with glass pipettes, packaged in a white, leatherette box. It is priced domestically at €380.
