La Prairie’s latest anti-ageing offering counters neck neglect

La Prairie’s new Anti Aging Neck Cream

SWITZERLAND. La Prairie has unveiled a new treatment product especially for use on the often neglected neck area. Anti-Aging Neck Cream – a cellular firming complex – will be available from mid-October.

The skin on the neck is thinner than the skin on the face, and the neck’s muscles and skin tissue are weaker, all of which makes the neck especially vulnerable to signs of ageing, according to La Prairie.

The brand’s new neck cream is said to help re-condition and re-contour skin that has become dehydrated and slack with age. According to La Prairie, the result is tighter, smoother, firmer skin with fewer/less noticeable age-related symptoms, such as a crepey texture, age spots and the appearance of a double chin.

The Anti-Aging Neck Cream formula features a new emulsifier combination, derived from olive oil, which creates an oil-in-water emulsion with a liquid crystalline structure said to be similar to that within the skin itself. The liquid crystals generated by the emulsifier form a protective shield on the skin’s surface, which maintains the natural skin barrier while enhancing the penetration of the active ingredients.

In summary, the new neck cream has three key actions: it re-firms slack skin and restores elasticity; it re-shapes and reduces volume in the chin zone; and it renews hydration and targets age spots. Key ingredients include tensing agents, a Resurrection Plant extract, an anti-pigment complex, and La Prairie’s cellular firming complex.

La Prairie Anti-Aging Neck Cream should be used morning and evening, and applied from the bustline up towards the neck and chin.

The product is presented in a shiny silver jar, with white graphics, topped with a silver cap. It will retail domestically at around €160 for 50ml.
