Lacoste launches Match Point Collection for Spring/Summer 2014

Match Point revisits all of Lacoste’s brand codes and iconic products, including the polo dress in white for women

Lacoste has issued its Match Point Collection for Spring/Summer 2014.

The SS2014 travel retail collection features items for casual, every-day wear, including the polo shirt, the polo dress and the blazer for men and women. The colour palette includes classic shades of white, red, green, navy and heather gray.

The men’s polo shirt features herringbone knitted effects inspired by René Lacoste’s tennis shoes and needle drop details on rib collars. Other features include polo shirts that are fully front-buttoned with ribbed waist bands.

Key women’s pieces include shirts, polo shirts and dresses. Women’s shirts feature printed light oxford, with designs inspired by tennis courts and rackets as well as archive prints by Robert George, the designer of the first crocodile logo, which remains synonymous with the brand.

A range of accessories for women and men to complement the Match Point Collection are also available. For women these include the Elena line of hand and shoulder bags in white textured leather with striped canvas handles and crocodile green logo and small leather goods.

There’s a Daily Classic bowling and bucket bag or the Nelly in white canvas with silver-finish fastening details. For men, there’s the Ryan vertical shopper in off-white or bottle-green cotton and navy leather details for the beach or town.
