Making memories: The Nice store is the latest to showcase the new duty free concept |
FRANCE. Lagardère Travel Retail has continued the roll-out of its new duty free concept at Nice airport.
Based on four underlying principles, the “next-generation” concept has been implemented at its 955sq m Aelia duty free store located in Terminal 1, where a mix of international and local brands feature.
The first principle is “˜The Art of the Gift’, with the focus on gifting for someone else or for oneself described as the “guiding theme” for the company’s new generation of stores. A gift tower features at the store along with a gift bar & cash desk that offers a wrapping service.
The second principle is “˜Facilitation’, with the aim of making the shopping experience “seamless and unforgettable”. A third principle is “˜Care’, with an exclusive service programme at the heart of a bid to make the customer experience as pleasant as possible.
Finally, ‘Here and Nowhere else’ forms part of a drive to create “memorable, exclusive and astonishing” experiences at the airport. Lagardère Travel Retail says it has created bespoke experiences at Nice inspired by “iconic and exciting features embodying emotions from the region and translated into retail benefits”.
The new concept was debuted in October 2014 at the MP2 terminal in Marseille, with the store at terminal one at Warsaw’s Frédéric Chopin Airport refreshed in May. The roll-out will continue at Luton Airport later this year.
