BULGARIA. Lagardère Travel Retail Bulgaria has won a tender to become the foodservice master concessionaire at Fraport Twin Star Airport Management-operated Varna and Burgas international airports.
New local and international concepts will be added to the existing F&B offer at the Black Sea airports in 2025.
These will include venues such as Serial Kitchens Food Hall, Onda Café, Beach Bar, 2GatherKaffe and Fly Zone, alongside the expansion of existing McDonald’s and Bricco Pizza outlets.
Work on the new venues will commence at the end of 2024, with the first openings scheduled for Spring 2025. Lagardère Travel Retail Bulgaria said it will work closely with Fraport Twin Star Airport Management on the F&B offer as part of the wider transformation programme to upgrade the two airports.

Serial Kitchens Food Hall (pictured below) will be a new venue combining the attractiveness and convenience of a food hall with the effectiveness of a ‘dark kitchen’. This delivery-focused concept is designed to enable significant operational optimisation and energy savings.
2Gather Kaffe will combine a coffee shop and a bar. Food options will include sandwiches, bagels, bowls, salads and pastries. In the evening, cocktails will be offered along with appetiser plates.
Onda Café will be a coffee and food-to-go concept, specifically designed for travellers. The established Bulgarian brand will offer quality coffees, fresh pastries and baked goods.
Bricco Pizza will offer pizzas made in the traditional Italian way with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Beach Bar will feature in an area to be known as ‘The Terrace’, with high-quality local and international wines, beers, spirits, cocktails and snacks available in an outdoor setting.
