Lagardère Travel Retail names Catherine Guyomard as Chief Human Resources Officer

In her new role, Guyomard will help recruit, retain and develop talent for Lagardère Travel Retail 

FRANCE. Lagardère Travel Retail has appointed Catherine Guyomard as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective today (1 September). She reports to Chairman & CEO Dag Rasmussen and becomes a member of the Executive Committee.

Commenting on Guyomard’s appointment, Rasmussen said: “We’re very happy to welcome Catherine to the team. I am confident that Catherine will further build on the great initiatives developed by our group to support our people’s engagement and the promotion of the company’s workplace culture.”

An experienced human resources leader, Guyomard will lead the Group’s people strategy, nurture workplace culture and enhance the company’s reputation. Guyomard has a track record of developing world-class HR programmes. In her new role, she will implement Lagardère Travel Retail’s ‘People, Engagement and Culture’ focus across its strategic priorities.

She will support local and global leadership teams and attract, retain and develop talent. She will also enhance company culture and create a positive work environment.

Prior to this role, Guyomard has worked in talent management for companies like Crown Holding, Heineken France, Sephora and LVMH. In Sephora EMEA, she was responsible for pay and benefits, before becoming Human Resources Director for the region. In LVMH, she led the human resources strategy of the Group’s fashion division in Asia Pacific for five years. She also held a senior human resources position for LVMH-owned brand Berluti.

Since 2018, Guyomard has been working with French organic food retailer Bio C’Bon and GreenYellow, which supports businesses’ transition to green energy. This experience will her drive Lagardère Travel Retail’s CSR programme.
