CHILE. Lagardère Travel Retail has opened new casual dining concept Beercode at Santiago de Chile Arturo Merino Benítez Airport Terminal 2.
In a LinkedIn post, Lagardère Travel Retail Foodservices Chile Chief Executive Officer Rémi Visintini welcomed the opening in association with airport operator Nuevo Pudahuel. “Very happy to announce this new opening… at Beercode you can enjoy an international or craft beer with delicious Chilean plates and international sandwiches,” he said.
Nuevo Pudahuel KAS of Commercial Excellence Eduardo Fernando Gallego Soto outlined the offer in a film clip posted on LinkedIn (below), noting, “At Nuevo Pudahuel, it is a commitment to make the passenger experience at Santiago Airport much more pleasant, comfortable and entertaining.
“We are happy to introduce a new dining option at the International Terminal (T2) – Beercode, the only place with a terrace at the airport. Here passengers can enjoy an extensive menu ranging from burgers and pastas, to vegetarian options – all outdoors.”
Nuevo Pudahuel is a partnership between VINCI Airports, Groupe ADP and Astaldi Concessioni.
The Beercode opening builds on Lagardère Travel Retail’s already strong presence at the Chilean gateway. As reported, the company opened five food & beverage outlets (in partnership with Chilean firm Global Group Corporation) in T2 when it was inaugurated in February 2022. They marked Lagardère Travel Retail’s F&B debut in South America.
The outlets are La Maestranza, La Picá, Uncle Fletch, Lulupok Yogen Früzm and Emporio Gourmet.
Over the course of its contract, Lagardère Travel Retail will run 20 restaurants at the airport.✈
