USA. Lamar Advertising Company has unveiled a new overhead digital network at Indianapolis International Airport, as part of its planned high-impact upgrade of digital displays at the travel hub.
Lamar – which, as reported, was awarded a seven-year advertising and sponsorship contract at the airport in March – has installed a set of four 9ft x 4ft double-sided LED displays, which line the moving walkways in two separate terminals.
The enhancements add to Lamar’s redesign and overhaul of the airport’s digital displays, which also include revamped 85-inch digital baggage claim displays and 85-inch digital flight information displays.
Omi Sahota, Director of Marketing for Media Resources, which manufactured the LED displays on behalf of Lamar, said: “The VISIONiQ TruView displays enable Lamar to offer advertisers greater access to the same physical space. Changing advertisements is now easy and can be done remotely with the OSSI content management system.”
Lamar Advertising Company Vice President & Senior Director of Airports Brig Newman said: “Lamar’s wide array of digital and static airport advertising products generate new revenue streams for airports while providing brands with the opportunity to reach and engage consumers and business travellers.”
Lamar is one of the world’s largest outdoor advertising companies, with over 351,000 displays across the US and Canada.
