Lancôme creates colourful new vision for Hypnôse Eyes Palettes

Lancôme has revamped its Hypnôse Eyes palettes, with new shades, applicators and packaging. The sets allow consumers to create a vast array of customised looks, from natural to daring, according to the brand.

Each palette contains four eye shadows and an eye liner, housed in a sleek, black lacquer case. There are 12 different colourways, all of which harness “wet” technology, whereby the eye shadow pigments are dispersed within a fluid. As the fluid evaporates, it leaves a concentrate of colour on the skin, infused with pearl pigments. This ensures even and vibrant, long-lasting coverage, Lancôme claims. Moreover, all the eye shadows can be applied wet or dry, for varied intensity.

Each of the five shades within the palettes has its own specific function. There is a colour block for the lid; a highlighter for the eyebrow arch; an eyeliner to enhance and define shape; a darker, sculpting shade for the lid hollow and outer corner; and a luminous shade for the inner corner of the eye. Lancôme has suggested three distinct eye looks – Doll Eyes, Star Eyes and Drama Eyes – which can be created with each palette.

The eye sets also contain new, longer applicators, said to be twice the length of traditional applicators, for greater ease of use. They are magnetised to the case. There are sponges, a flexible flocked spatula and a natural hair brush.
