The latest addition to the Gucci Guilty fragrance line, Gucci Guilty Absolute Eau de Parfum for men, will launch in Europe and the Americas travel retail in March and in Asia in April.
The woody fragrance, created in collaboration with Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele and Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, contains a new natural extract discovered by Morillas in the Royal Botanical Gardens archive.
The extract, called goldenwood, comes from the Nootka Cypress. Combined with a leather accord, added as a nod to the heritage of the Italian fashion house, it offers deep, ultra-dry woody notes. Three forms of patchouli add sweetness and depth while vetiver contributes a hit of fresh earthy grass. The structure of the fragrance means that the scent remains unchanged from the moment it is applied to the skin, according to the brand.
Textures and colours of the bottle and packaging are based on cigars, Cognac and the refined atmosphere of a gentlemen’s lounge.
