Lindt adds ‘on-trend’ Mango flavour to Lindor limited-edition offer

‘A taste of paradise’: the fruity Mango & Cream edition

Lindt & Sprüngli will introduce a limited-edition Lindor Mango & Cream flavour at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition (Marine Village, R7).

The new flavour will be presented in a summery yellow 387g tube and  promoted via the Lindor Flavour Festival marketing initiative. This will include bespoke POS communication and live sampling of the new variety aiming to ‘bring the summer alive’ at airports around the world.

Lindt & Sprüngli Head of Global Duty Free Division Peter Zehnder said: “This new flavour, of delicious white chocolate encasing smooth melting mango and cream is truly stunning, and offers chocolate lovers a divine taste of tropical paradise. Mango is very much a flavour of the moment, and mango and cream is the perfect complement to the other flavours.”

According to the brand, the Mango & Cream flavour builds on the success of the Lindor limited edition which has been a best-seller globally, achieving double-digit growth.

In 2016, Lindt launched an international promotional programme called Flavour Festival to answer consumers’ calls for variety and to highlight the range of flavours.

The promotion included ‘flavour pillars’, displaying a colourful tower of Lindor flavours and a gift-with-purchase mix and match bag, which allowed consumers to carry home their selection of three tubes, paired with an introductory price offer.

Zehnder continued: “Our Lindor balls with their smooth melting centre and unique recipe are a special treat for all chocolate lovers. This new limited edition features another innovative and on-trend flavour and will add another level of excitement to the Lindor experience. We are certain it will prove equally as popular as our previous travel retail exclusives, and will boost sales of this much-loved best-seller.”

The new limited edition will be available from February 2017.
