Lindt’s giant Gold Bunny hops into Zürich Airport for Easter promotion

Lindt recently partnered with Dufry to showcase a giant Gold Bunny Easter promotion at Zürich Airport.

The Lindt Easter installation, an annual highlight at Zürich Airport, incorporates new interactive features each year to engage customers. This year the animation included a ‘selfie’ station, which enabled travellers to take photos with the Gold Bunny, product sampling and Easter chocolate making by Lindt Master Chocolatiers.

Hoppy Easter: The annual Lindt Gold Bunny installation is a highlight at Zürich Airport

The giant Lindt Gold Bunny was surrounded by the Lindt Easter and spring collection. Products included the newly launched Limited Flower Edition of the Lindt Gold Bunny and the Flower Connaisseurs Pralines. Customers spending over CHF40 (€34) received a pair of bunny ears.

Lindt said the animation is an “excellent example of providing real passenger interaction and engagement”

Lindt Head of Global Duty Free Division Peter Zehnder said: “The rise of digital means, when consumers decide to shop in travel retail, they are looking for a personal experience that can’t be found online. The interplay in the store between product, staff and brand is essential, as it allows the building of relationships, loyalty and personalisation in the shopping experience.

“The Lindt Easter installation at Zürich Airport is an excellent example of providing real passenger interaction and engagement.”

Dufry Global Category Management Head – Confectionery, Food, Souvenirs & Toys Phillipe Moryl added: “Once again, Lindt has proven to be a partner of choice delivering a unique retail execution at Zürich Airport. At Dufry, we believe it is important to go beyond price promotion activities that one can see in most domestic markets or online.

“We strive to bring excitement, engagement and surprise to our passengers when defining and executing our promotion activities. In that respect, the Lindt team has done a great job for an important event such as Easter, in Switzerland the country of chocolate and especially in Zürich, home of Lindt. We are looking forward to seeing their proposal for 2019.”
