UAE. Estonian distiller Liviko has unveiled Crafter’s Golden Saffron Gin exclusively with Dubai Duty Free at Dubai International Airport.
Specially crafted in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Dubai Duty Free, the expression is the latest addition to the travel retailer’s extensive portfolio of spirits brands.
Liviko Export Director Jörgen Herman said: “We have blended crisp Nordic flavours with oriental notes, resulting in an enticing choice for gin enthusiasts. Developed exclusively for Dubai Duty Free, Crafter’s Golden Saffron Gin represents a significant milestone in the two-year partnership between Liviko and Dubai Duty Free.
“For Liviko, duty free is a strategic focus, as it’s where both business and leisure travellers seek new taste adventures, often igniting new trends.”
Crafter’s Golden Saffron Gin’s distinct flavour comes from saffron – the world’s most expensive spice, which is also known as ‘red gold’.
Made using Crafter’s recipe #19, the gin’s flavour profile is achieved through a post-distillation seven-day infusion with saffron. The spice imparts a golden-yellow hue, along with a gentle warmth and subtle spicy aftertaste.
Described as crisp and herbaceous, the liquid is softened by red-gold saffron, mythical lotus flower and citrusy mandarin peel – while the ginger root’s spiciness is balanced by sweet and earthy orris root.

As reported, the spirits company partnered with Dubai Duty Free in 2021 to include Crafter’s gins in the retailer’s diverse list of global spirits brands.
Described as a high-quality premium gin with a Nordic taste bouquet, the new expression features a distinctive design.
Liviko exports Crafter’s London Dry, Aromatic Flower and Wild Forest gins to nearly 70 countries across Europe, Asia and South America.
Established in 1898, Liviko is now a rapidly developing international group, representing premium brands in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
