Estonian distiller Liviko will unveil its first global travel retail-exclusive product from liqueur brand Vana Tallinn at next month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition (Basement 2 J34).
Liviko continues to expand in travel retail, and is focusing increasingly on Asia Pacific markets. The company’s Crafter’s London Dry Gin launched last year with Gebr. Heinemann in major European airports and is now available at airport stores in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Sydney.
Crafter’s also offers an Aromatic Flower Gin, known as the ‘magic gin’ thanks to a mix of meadowsweet and rosehip petals which turn the golden-coloured spirit pink when mixed with tonic. Both expressions are handcrafted in small batches, created with natural ingredients and copper-pot distilled.
Vana Tallinn is a spicy rum-based liqueur which was launched in the 1960s and has been available travel retail for 20 years. Liviko said its exclusive Vana Tallinn Coffee Fusion is inspired by the growing global coffee culture. The liqueur blends Vana Tallinn with spices, including cinnamon, vanilla, citrus peel and freshly-roasted coffee beans.
Serving suggestions include an ice-cold shot, as a sipping liqueur over ice or in a coffee cocktail.
The first batch of Vana Tallinn Coffee Fusion (ABV 35%) will be available in 500ml bottles from May, initially with Baltona Duty Free and Viking Line.
Liviko Export Director Jörgen Herman said: “As the world gin craze continues apace, Crafter’s Gin offers a real point of difference to operators and consumers. We are also excited to reveal Liviko’s first ever channel exclusive, Vana Tallinn Coffee Fusion, which gives consumers additional ways to indulge in their love of coffee.”
