Lladró returns to Cannes with successful sales formula

Lladró’s travel retail display tower incorporates a transparent display area on the top


SPAIN. Lladró is rapidly securing a firm position in travel retail premium giftware thanks to a sales formula that was premiered at the 2010 TFWA World Exhibition, the leading European manufacturer of porcelain figurines and ornaments reports.

The Spanish brand has been listed by global operators such as Duty Free Americas, Aldeasa, Harrods International and Korean Paradise Duty Free. In addition, it is securing listings in a number of major Asian airlines for the second part of the year, both for inflight and pre-order catalogue sales.

“This blooming of the brand among Asian-based operators is in line with the strong development that Lladró is experiencing in the region, where it counts with no less than 19 directly operated stores and it is solidly positioned as a luxury product,” the company said.

The ability of the brand to adapt to this market has brought changes in the product selection, bringing a number of fresh editions in new finishes, and packaging developments, comprising updated transparent boxes as well as new gift presentations.

The display tower now incorporates a transparent display area on the top which allows for unrestricted viewing of the porcelain figurines.

“We are very excited at the idea of displaying for the first time ever all these new developments at the show where we made our first statement only a year ago,” said José Saez, who is responsible for Lladró’s travel retail division.

“It is fascinating to note how the brand reacted to the requirements of the market and came up with this highly adapted version two of the sales formula.”

Lladró is returning to TFWA World Exhibition next week, where it will display its novelties and its travel retail formula (Stand number: Yellow Village C28.
