Local favourite The Canadian Brewhouse to make airport debut at Edmonton International

CANADA. Edmonton International Airport is partnering with concessionaire ECG Ventures to introduce a “family-friendly” dining experience from the restaurant and sports bar brand The Canadian Brewhouse. It will be the 35th venue from the chain in western Canada, and the first at an airport.

Construction of the 4,000sq ft eatery will begin soon, with its opening planned for Autumn 2020. The Canadian Brewhouse will replace the former Jasper Bar and Grill, which closed on 6 January.

Featuring its signature Canadian-themed décor, the restaurant and sports bar will be accessible from both sides of airport security, taking over a current seating area after security close to Gate 49.

The Canadian Brewhouse President Roger Newton said: “We just couldn’t imagine a better place to experience the airport culture than in our own backyard. This is the city where we started, and ECG Ventures is the perfect group to work with to bring our brand to Edmonton International Airport. It’s a great facility where we can share our hospitality on a national and international level.”

ECG Ventures President Cale Inglis said he was “proud and excited” at the prospect of introducing The Canadian Brewhouse at Edmonton International. He added: “The Canadian Brewhouse has a strong fan base because of its delicious food, unparalleled beverage options and its unbeatable hospitality.”

The Canadian Brewhouse is known for its extensive menu of appetisers, entrees and drinks

Edmonton International Airport Vice President of Air Service and Commercial Development Myron Keehn said: “This partnership with local brands The Canadian Brewhouse and ECG Ventures will be a great addition to our concession offerings both pre- and post-security.”
