SPAIN. LVMH Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton has confirmed the appointment of Alberto Puyol Pineda as President and CEO.
He succeeds Fabien Debaecker, who had held the position since January 2003.
A graduate of Barcelona’s ESADE Business School, Pineda began his career in the family company. In 1986, he was named Group Product Manager for the Spanish food multinational Gallina Blanca. In 1990, he joined the European subsidiary of Vanity Fair and was in charge of the development of numerous ready-to-wear brands in Southern Europe.
Since 1997 Pineda has held the position of Group Manager with Women’s Secret, Cortefield Group, which under his leadership has enjoyed buoyant growth in Spain and in international markets.
