Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development (Hainan IEDB) – the government agency with a mission to promote the internationalisation of Hainan – has stepped up its promotion of next year’s China International Consumer Products Expo.
The 2022 Expo is spotlighted by Hainan IEDB at the Virtual Travel Retail Expo (in which the Chinese company is a co-organiser with The Moodie Davitt Report and FILTR.QINGWA). Hainan IEDB is one of our Exhibitors of the Day on 10 November during Buyers & Brands Bonanza Month.

As reported, Hainan IEDB revealed the dates for next year’s China International Consumer Products Expo to a Knowledge Hub audience at the Virtual Travel Retail Expo on 11 October.
The organisation’s Director General Han Shengjian confirmed that the event will take place in Haikou at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center from 12-16 April 2022.

The inaugural Expo, held at the same venue in May this year, was a great success, with over 1,500 companies representing 2,600 brands from 70 countries and regions exhibited. The four-day event pulled in a remarkable 240,000+ visitors, including more than 30,000 buyers and other professional delegates.

As the official host of the Hainan Discovery Pavilion at the Virtual Travel Retail Expo, Hainan IEDB presents a Hainan Expo 22 brochure which includes comments from the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
“The China International Consumer Products Expo serves as a global platform displaying and trading high-end consumer products,” he says.
“It is beneficial for all countries to share opportunities provided by the Chinese market; (it) is conducive to global economy recovery and growth and will enable China to offer the world more quality consumer products.”
President Jinping adds that he hopes the Expo offers participants and visitors the opportunity to have “in-depth communications to better benefit peoples of all countries”.
Hainan IEBD showcases the 2022 Expo with a video – which can be accessed here – of this year’s event. It expects over 80% of exhibitors to take part again next year. The agency also believes the 2022 Expo will play a vital role in implementing the Master Plan for the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, and is adamant that the event will enhance its international influence.
Hainan IEDB offers an overview of the 2021 Expo, along with information on exhibition space and Early Bird and Bulk discounts. Another longer presentation spotlights ‘Amazing Hainan’ through snapshots of what makes the island an exceptional destination.
Visitors can also access the Hainan Free Trade Port Investment Guide which highlights President Jinping’s invitation to investors to “share development opportunities and the fruits of reform in China”.
The guide offers a timeline of expected developments and provides useful details for those considering doing business in Hainan, with links to a global investment service hotline, the official www.investhainan.cn website and investment promotion contacts.
