Petrina Kho has been appointed L’Oréal Travel Retail Americas General Manager, effective 1 January. After a three-year stint, her predecessor Julia Seve is moving elsewhere within the French beauty house with details to be announced in due course.
The highly regarded Kho is currently Senior Vice President & General Manager at L’Oreal-owned Urban Decay in California.
Prior to joining the beauty group in 2017 she spent more than 13 years at Mattel, P&G Selective Beauty and Diageo, holding a series of senior general management roles in Asia Pacific.
Kho is no stranger to the channel, having joined L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific in July 2017 as General Manager before moving to the USA in 2021 as Senior Vice President, Go To Market at IT Cosmetics Global HQ. In October 2022 she assumed her current role with Urban Decay.
L’Oréal Travel Retail President Emmanuel Goulin said: “Julia has demonstrated sustained courage, resilience and a capacity to adapt to tough and uncertain circumstances.
“Together with her teams, they have relentlessly battled the headwinds in the North and Latin Americas markets to turn the business around and get back to the pre-pandemic level.
“We have all much enjoyed her unwavering energy and stamina, her strong commitment and warmth in the way she connects with people.
“I would like to personally thank Julia warmly for her contributions to our travel retail business and wish her the very best for the next chapter of her journey with the group.”
Commenting on Kho’s appointment, Goulin said: “Petrina is recognised as a dynamic and strong people leader, focusing on engaging and enabling her teams. She will bring her strong consumer-centric vision, retail expertise and sharp business acumen to embark TR Americas on the next chapter of its journey.” ✈
