SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free has held a two-day event inviting travel agencies from South Korea’s key inbound markets to promote its retail offerings and attract more foreign visitors.
The event, which started yesterday (25 February), was designed to tap into the resurgence of international travel and the influx of overseas tourists.

Around 200 tour guides and travel agency representatives from China, Japan and Southeast Asia attended the event, which highlighted the retailer’s major outlets, partner brands, operational policies and shopping benefits.
In addition, Lotte Duty Free offered brand experience opportunities in collaboration with jewellery brands such as Honest Seoul and Swarovski, as well as popular K-beauty brands, including The History of Whoo and COSRX.
Attendees also received gifts and had the chance to win prizes through various activities.
The event marks Lotte Duty Free’s renewed focus on attracting foreign group tourists after a year-long pause. It aims to reinforce partnerships with travel agencies and leverage the rising demand for inbound tourism.
Looking ahead, the company noted its plans to host quarterly events in line with peak travel seasons, including China’s Labor Day and National Day holidays, as well as summer and winter holidays.
Lotte Duty Free Head of Marketing Namgoong Pyo said: “With the recent increase in inbound tourists, Lotte Duty Free will strengthen its collaboration with travel agencies not only in China but also in Japan and Southeast Asia, offering customised benefits and services tailored to each nationality.” ✈
