LS travel retail is growing its presence at Detroit Metro Airport |
USA. LS travel retail North America has opened a new store at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport’s McNamara Terminal. The store combines two luxury brands – Porsche Design and Hugo Boss – and is located in the North-East end of Concourse A.
Both brands account for about 400sq ft of space, with Hugo Boss carrying an assortment of men’s fashion accessories, ready-to-wear apparel, and small leathergoods. Porsche Design offers luxury goods: luggage, travel bags, eyewear, timepieces, active apparel in partnership with Adidas, plus small leathergoods.
The store follows the opening of two other locations earlier this year: a 2,290sq ft The Economist outlet combined with Caribou Coffee, and a Michigan Sports concept, both located in the Central Link.

“We are excited to be opening a third store in the McNamara Terminal”, said LS travel retail North America Chief Development Officer Vadim Motlik.
“As a long term partner of Detroit Metro, we support the airport’s vision to provide an outstanding traveller experience and we believe our combined concept is very well positioned to deliver on this promise.”
LS travel retail was also awarded a further concession at Detroit Metro as part of a retail RFP launched in 2012. The store – named Monarch – will offer a selection of designer accessories from Gucci, Tiffany & Co and Dooney & Bourke, among others. It will open in February 2014.
LS travel retail has 245 stores at 30 airports in North America and the Caribbean.
