Lucky traveller is Monte Carlo-bound after another ‘Amazing Day’ promotion at Cyprus Airports Duty Free Shops– 30/05/09

The sign says it all – and according to Cyprus Duty Free Shops the commercial results have been equally amazing


CYPRUS. Cyprus Airports Duty Free Shops recently held the latest grand draw in its hugely successful Amazing Days series of promotions – this time themed “˜Mission to Monte Carlo’.

The draw took place at Larnaka International Airport on 25 May. Out of an impressive 230,000 entries, the lucky winner was Maria Panayidou from Limassol, Cyprus.

She and a partner will take the trip of a lifetime to Monte Carlo with business class flights on Austrian Airlines and limousine transfer to the Port Palace Hotel. Together they will experience the luxury of the Port Palace Hotel for four nights and enjoy €2,000 of spending money.

The Amazing Days campaign has seen previous winners flying to Las Vegas, Disneyland, Ascot and Barcelona while three winners earned Mediterranean cruise holidays.

Customers can enter the Amazing Days promotions by spending €35 at the airport – either in food & beverage outlets or in Cyprus Duty Free Shops or a combination of both.

During the “˜Mission to Monte Carlo’ promotion, customers had the chance to double their entries on the in-store roulette wheel (“˜Red or black – you lose your ticket or you double your tickets’).

“We had a great response from passengers, we even had groups pooling their draw tickets and risking all on the spin of the wheel. The buzz in the airport is fantastic as the wheel stops and the cheers go up,” commented Cyprus Airports Duty Free Shops Head of Retail and Marketing Martin Mullen.

Mission to Monte Carlo was supported by Austrian Airlines, Top Kinisis (Cyprus’ leading travel agency) and Cyprus Airports Food & Beverage Company.

The Amazing Days campaign will continue in June with “˜Bon Voyage’, which will feature an all-expenses “˜trip of a lifetime’ onboard MSC Armonia on a luxurious tour of the Mediterranean with full VIP treatment. Once again, the promotion will be supported by Austrian Airlines, Top Kinisis and Cyprus Airports Food & Beverage Company.

More Amazing Days are planned for the remainder of the year.
