Lulu Guinness poised for travel retail debut – 08/03/05

UK. Designer Lulu Guinness’s handbags and accessories will be presented to travel retail for the first time at next month’s IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas (Booth 1627).

The designer is well known for her eclectic and offbeat designs, which include both glamorous evening bags and practical totes.

To date Guinness’s bags and accessories have been sold in her own retail outlets in New York, London and Japan, and in selected department stores in Europe, Asia and the US.

The Autumn/Winter 2005 Collection incorporates a lavish palette of colours and textures, including velvet, cord and suede, combined with beads, embroidery and appliqué.

Highlights include a an embroidered flower garden clutch bag; a baroque woven jacquard tote; and a sequinned drop fan evening bag.

In addition to Guinness’s evening and day bags, purses, scarves, umbrellas, sunglasses and the women’s fragrance created in partnership with Riviera Concepts, will be on show in Fort Lauderdale.

The Lulu Guinness brand is being promoted in travel retail by McG Consultants, which has already secured a number of duty free listings with Dubai Duty Free, British Airways, Aer Lingus, Virgin and Emirates Airlines.
