USA. The Estée Lauder Companies has promoted Peter Lichtenthal, formerly Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Estée Lauder, to the position of Global General Manager of MAC, effective 15 August.
Lichtenthal will report directly to John Demsey, who continues to oversee MAC as well as lead the Estée Lauder brand.
“Peter has extraordinary product marketing skills and general management skills, as well as a deep understanding of the industry and the retail environment,” commented Demsey.
“These qualities, along with his global perspective, will be tremendously valuable as MAC seeks to build its business in strategic growth markets around the world.”

Lichtenthal has held the position of Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Estée Lauder, since 2001. He joined The Estée Lauder Companies in 1989 as Executive Director of US Skincare Marketing for the Estée Lauder brand, and was promoted to Vice President of US Fragrance Marketing in 1994.
In 1999, Lichtenthal was appointed Vice President/General Manager of Estée Lauder International.
