UK. MAC has unveiled a number of new make-up lines, which are being launched now in travel retail.
First up is Tinted Lip Conditioner Stick SPF15 (left). Formerly presented in a pot format, this has now been repackaged in a portable swivel stick version, allowing for easier and more precise application.
It is said to deliver a soft, natural tinted gloss to the lips, while soothing, moisturising and protecting from the sun.
The line is available in seven shades, plus one clear. All are flavoured with a hint of vanilla.
Still with lips, MAC has introduced the new Textures Collection (below). This features six “trend-right” shades in two of the company’s lipstick lines: Frost and Amplified.
The former, as its name suggests, incorporates a high-shine, frosted finish; the latter a rich, crème formula.
Meanwhile, for cheeks, MAC has created a limited-edition “Doubles” line (pictured below) for its Sheertone powder Blush.
A pan-style compact reveals two shades of either Sheertone Blush or Sheertone Shimmer Blush, which can be used to highlight, contour or shade the face.
The matte shades offer more natural, understated colour; the shimmer shades a more obvious shine.
In terms of base products, MAC has unveiled Select Moisturecover and Select SPF15 Moistureblend Foundation.
The former is described as a blendable, moisturising concealer, presented in a tube with a brush-tipped wand applicator. It is available in 15 shades.
The latter is MAC’s newest compact foundation, and is said to provide radiant, natural-satin, medium-to-buildable coverage with a comfortable silky feel.
It incorporates light-diffusing, soft-focus powders; anti-oxidants A, C and E; and broad spectrum UVA/UVB sun protection.
It can be applied with a sponge or foundation brush, and comes in 23 shades.
Lastly, MAC has launched a new Prep+Prime Collection. Neither skincare nor colour, the products are said to help prepare the face, eyes, lashes and lips for make-up application.
Prep+Prime Skin is described as a smooth, ultra-fluid lotion formulated with special-effect silicones which help prepare the skin for foundation by blotting away excess oil and reducing redness.
Prep+Prime Lip is a colour-free moisturising base, to be worn under lipstick. It helps to prevent feathering, reduces bleeding and minimises fine lines, according to MAC. It is flavoured with the company’s signature vanilla.
Prep+Prime Eye should be worn on lids as an undercoat to eye make-up. It neutralises the lid colour and is available in five shades.
Prep+Prime Lash, for use under mascara, is claimed to condition and soften lashes and make mascara last longer. It is applied as a white cream and dries to a semi-clear base coat.
