Mamont Vodka has launched a limited edition gift box in honour of “˜The Mamont Circumpolar Mission’, a multinational competition where teams of bartenders and chefs presented their take on the “˜perfect serve’ accompanied by an appetiser featuring Mamont.

The finale took place in Moscow on 21 May in line with the official Polar Explorer’s Day and the team, comprising bartender Valentin Calvel and chef Clèment Bappel of Parisian restaurant Apicius, was awarded first place and the main prize – an expedition on the last historic vessel to sail the coasts of Greenland.
The Limited Edition Gift Box is inspired by the competition and contains the following items: one 70cl bottle of Mamont Vodka, two branded glasses, four metal food grade dice, one holding tray and a Mamont Vodka brochure with the brand story, rituals and signature recipes. The Limited Edition Gift Box is a luxury gift item with a limited run of only 1,000 units.

The Limited Edition Gift Box will be available in time for Christmas in duty free outlets in Moscow as well as premium boutiques such as Fauchon and Lavinia in Paris and Harrods in London.
The winning recipes of the “The Mamont Circumpolar Mission” are as follows:
The Cocktail – “˜The Ice Floe’
Ingredients: 60ml Mamont Vodka, 1 tbsp. lime juice, 30ml seawater, 3 dashes of Boston Bitter, ½ tbsp. ossetra caviar, white sugar and 2 sprigs of dill.
Method: combine ingredients in a shaker and serve in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish: dill.
The Appetiser – “˜Arctic Drop’
Ingredients: 25ml Mamont Vodka, 200ml seawater, 20g ossetra caviar, edible gold flakes, 25ml water, 150g arctic char fillet, 2 sprigs of dill and 4.5 sheets of gelatin.
Method: mix gelatin with a small quantity of water and caviar in a small form. Once the mix is still, empty the form and serve. Garnish: edible gold flakes and dill.
