Marcolin Group and Max Mara have struck a new partnership for the design, production and worldwide distribution of the Max Mara sunglasses and eyewear range. The agreement will start from 1 November and run for five years. It builds on Marcolin Group’s existing eyewear agreements with Sportmax and MAX&Co, two other brands within the Max Mara Fashion Group.
The first eyewear range to be released under the new partnership will be previewed at the Max Mara fall fashion show during Milan Fashion Week on 24 September. It will feature a selection of geometric styles in chromatic finishes, said the brand. The Max Mara eyewear collections will be launched globally next year on maxmara.com, in department stores and selected opticians.

Marcolin Group Marketing Director Matteo Blandi said: “The entry of the Max Mara brand in the Marcolin Group portfolio enriches our product offering addressed to womenswear market.
“Max Mara is an internationally recognised Italian luxury brand that is synonymous with excellence. We are proud to contribute to further advance and strengthen the brand’s positioning and image for the eyewear category.”
Max Mara Creative Director Ian Griffiths added, “Max Mara has always been committed to women, to make them feel at their best, to make them shine in every occasion, through constant research for the highest quality. The secret of quality is to consider every single technical feature as an essential element of the creative process. The new partnership with Marcolin Group will contribute to ensure the highest quality and design standards for the Max Mara eyewear.”
