Masi Agricola gets wine lovers sharing on Instagram for Valentine’s Day

Italian wine producer Masi Agricola has been running a seasonal campaign around St. Valentine’s Day (14 February), aimed at getting wine lovers to share their memories on social media platform Instagram.

The company, which has its roots in the Valpolicella region, has been urging Instagram users to upload images with someone they love, tagging @masiagricola and using the hashtags #WineTogether and #ThatsAmarone.

This refers to its Amarone wine, with the company saying “nothing evokes ‘amore’ more than Amarone, with its intensity and its flavours of chocolate and exotic spices”.

Masi Agricola has been running the campaign since 31 January and will end it on Valentine’s Day. It has promised special prizes for pictures of couples sharing a glass of Masi wine.

Sharing the love: Masi Agricola has embraced social media with the campaign

“There are some moments in life that are worth living and sharing. Moments that we want to share with you in the company of our Amarone,” the company said.

Owned the Boscaini family, Masi Agricola makes wines principally using native grapes and indigenous methods for the Venetian territories. It uses the Appassimento technique – by which grapes are laid out on bamboo racks in drying lofts for the winter period before vinification – in order to concentrate aromas and tastes in its wines.
