Maui Jim is to showcase several models suited to Asian face shapes at the TFWA Asia Pacific show in May 2013 (Stand number: K9).
Among the latest styles in the collection is Keanu (Style 271) a masculine, modified aviator frame made from Monel metal, which Maui Jim describes as a strong, corrosion-resistant alloy that retains colours. This model features a strong double-bridge, rubber brow-bar detail, and sporty duo-toned rubberised temples.
Keanu comes in matte silver with black and blue temples, matte chocolate with brown and orange temples, and matte black with grey and green temples. Its adjustable bridge ensures that it fits wider faces comfortably and stays in place “even out on the 18th fairway”, the company said.
Keanu features Maui Jim’s SuperThin (ST) Glass lenses which provide crisp edge-to-edge optics and are 20% thinner and lighter than conventional laminated glass lenses for long wearing comfort.
Popular with many Asian male customers are the high fashion styles Waterways (267) in tortoise, olive stripe or matte black rubber, and Surf Rider (261) in black stripe, tortoise or black with blue.

Fashionable Asian women are choosing the oversized Ginger (221), in charcoal, chocolate, mauve or matte sandstone, and Ailana (273) in mauve, tortoise, matte sandstone or chocolate fade.
Many of Maui Jim’s unisex aviator styles are also proving a hit in Asia, in particular Mavericks (264) and Hideaways (248), both in silver, gold or gloss black, which also have adjustable nose bridges.
