US. Maureen Case will become President of the Estée Lauder group’s Jo Malone and La Mer brands, effective 1 January 2006. She will continue in her current role as President of Bobbi Brown Worldwide and will add La Mer and Jo Malone to her portfolio.
In this new position, Case will continue to report to Group President Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne.
Case has been President of Bobbi Brown since 2002, where she has strategically taken the brand to new heights and positioned it for faster global and regional expansion.
She was instrumental in identifying additional distribution channels, most recently with the introduction of the first Bobbi Brown counter in China. Her hands-on leadership style gives her the ability to manage a wide-ranging portfolio that will be instrumental in leading the teams within these key brands.
This promotion begins an exciting new chapter in Case’s flourishing career with The Estée Lauder Companies. She joined the Company in 1975 and has held various prominent positions, including Finance, Travel Retailing and Global Marketing, for many brands within the Corporation.
In 1996 she branched into other arenas of the cosmetic industry, most notably as Senior Vice President, General Merchandising Manager for Fashion and Beauty at World Duty Free.
“Maureen Case is an exceptional prestige brand builder and creative thinker who truly understands the nuances of cultural values around the world,” commented Bousquet-Chavanne.
“Just as important, she has a unique set of interpersonal skills that allow her to achieve results with a collaborative style. Her strong relationships with our retail partners worldwide will allow her to catapult the brands to the next level.”
“I’m honoured and thrilled about these brands – they’re one of a kind! I feel we’ve just scratched the surface of their full potential,” added Case.
