Mäurer & Wirtz extends s.Oliver and Betty Barclay offer – 07/09/09

GERMANY. Mäurer & Wirtz is to launch two new fragrance lines this month, one from s.Oliver and one from Betty Barclay.

The QS by s.Oliver masterbrand – said to represent one of the trendiest facets of the s.Oliver fashion house – is described as spontaneous, modern and extroverted. It is best embodied by partying and music; its key target market is aged 15 to 25.

The QS by s.Oliver fragrance masterbrand represents the modern, extrovert facet of the s.Oliver fashion houseThe outer packaging depicts familiar images from the world of music (such as guitars, turntables, skyscrapers and so on), in a bid to provide an instant, visual summary of the concept.

The campaign concept itself is titled “Rebelution”, picking on up the lifestyle that the QS by s.Oliver brand has embodied in the past few years, through promotions such as sponsoring newcomer brands.

The feminine fragrance is presented in a red bottle; the masculine scent in black. The former opens on notes of blackcurrant, pink pepper and mandarin, leading to a heart of lily of the valley, rose and violet. The base is a blend of sandalwood, vanilla and Tonka bean.

The latter features bergamot, red berries, apple and carambola in the head; building to a heart of lavender, geranium and nutmeg, atop a dry-down of musk, patchouli, vanilla and ambergris.

The masculine collection is composed of 30ml and 50ml edt sprays, a 50ml aftershave lotion, a 75ml deo stick, a 150ml natural deo spray and a 200ml shower gel & shampoo.

In other news, Mäurer & Wirtz has extended its Betty Barclay portfolio with a new feminine fragrance called Amazing Love (see www.bettybarclayfragrances.de)

As its name suggests, the seasonal scent aims to evoke the blissful feeling of being in love. Its key ingredients include verbena, orange, apple, Moroccan rose, violet, orange blossom, woods, patchouli and vanilla.

Both the inner and outer packaging sports a lilac and violet colour-scheme, incorporating a motif of romantic elements, such as hearts and nightingales.

The full product line-up comprises a 20ml edt spray, a 75ml natural deo spray and a 200ml shower cream.
