Brian Collie: Collezioni is a “unique partnership proposition” |
There, Collezioni`s initial 1,400sq m of space will host around 20 leading fashion brands in a specially designed, coordinated environment of freestanding boutiques over two levels.
The foundation of the concept is McArthurGlen´s long-standing relationships with leading brands through its outlet malls. Collezioni is described a genuine luxury retail concept that creates partnerships between airports and brands.
Collie said today that he was delighted “to be launching Collezioni to the travel retail market. We bring a unique partnership proposition for growing airports wishing to create relationships with high fashion brands.”
Collie said it was likely that the joint venture would target other airports with a certain critical mass (likely to handle over 4-5 million passengers a year) to extend the concept.
McArthurGlen Chairman JW Kaempfer said: “This is a great new venture that highlights the trust we have developed over a dozen years in partnering the world`s leading brands at our designer outlet centres. We also have experience in dealing with strong tourist footfall and have proven ability to move into new markets quickly. This enables us to target high-performance markets around the globe.”
More details on this new concept will appear in coming days, and the Collezioni initiative will be the subject of a major feature in The Moodie Report´s Cannes issue.
