Media brand Monocle reopens at Hong Kong International Airport

Monocle returns to Hong Kong International Airport featuring a selection of its global brand partnerships

HONG KONG, CHINA. Media brand Monocle, in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail, has reopened its store at Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 1.

In a social media post, the company said: “Monocle’s mission is to rethink airport retail and create a premium shopping experience for the discerning traveller. Our airside partnership with Paris-based Lagardère is our biggest retail space yet and stocks well-made products from brands that we believe in.

“That means impeccable travel essentials, accessories, apparel from the likes of Comme des Garçons, Porter, Leuchtturm Gruppe and Arpenteur, and, of course, plenty in the way of print.”

Launched in August 2019, the 160sq m store was Monocle’s first-ever airport outlet offering books, periodicals, travel essentials and the brand’s full range of products and special collaborations.

In September 2022, the brand made its European airport debut at Zurich Airport with a pop-up space.

Monocle has nine shops and cafés across cities including London, Zurich, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Toronto and Los Angeles.
