USA. Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport is marking Harley-Davidson’s 115th anniversary with a series of events and pop-up outlets.
The famous US motorcycle brand’s House of Harley store is a highlight of the airport’s retail offer.
The pop-up outlets feature Harley-Davidson branded products. Author Jean Davidson, granddaughter of Harley-Davidson Founder Walter Davidson, will be on hand for book signings. Davidson has written a series of books for children and adults, which include Harley-Davidson Family Memories.
The celebrations are part of a five-day Milwaukee Anniversary Event, from 29 August until 2 September, which includes a ‘Beach Brawl’, motorcycle races, factory tours and a street parade.
Harley-Davidson was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1903. Its corporate headquarters stand on the site where the first motorcycle was built in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home.
