GERMANY. Minox will be presenting three new cameras at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Stand number: Mediterranean Village N13).
MINOX DSC SILVER
Minox’s acclaimed mini digital spy camera, the DSC, is now available in a metal finish. This “˜Next Generation’ DSC comes equipped with functions that are reduced to concentrate on essentials, making it even more powerful than its predecessor, Minox said.
With dimensions of just 86 x 29 x 20 mm, the DSC Silver comes with a new 5.1 megapixel sensor and is able to capture documents in the close focus range of up to 50cm. The bright viewfinder allows spontaneous, fast shots, even in critical light conditions.
The system features an additional external flash module that can be docked on to the side of the DSC. And to provide the user with the convenience of a display for viewing video and image results, the flash has an integrated 1.5-inch screen. The image data can be saved on micro SD cards of up to 16 GB, in addition to using the internal memory.
In addition to the external flash module with screen, the Minox DSC Silver also comes with a leather case and a metal chain for carrying purposes, a USB cable and a user manual with operating instructions.

MINOX MC 8×42 CWP
New and specially designed for outdoor enthusiasts such as adventurers, travellers and nature lovers is the Minox MD 8×42 CWP monocular with integrated compass.
This model boasts a field of view of 123 m by 1,000 m, 8-fold magnification, a compass, as well as a fine reticle for the range determination of targeted object.
The Minox MD 8×42 CWP has a sturdy metal body and is watertight to a depth of 3m. With extremely compact dimensions of 65 x 61 x 143 mm and a weight of just 370g, the new Minox MD 8×42 CWP has a good grip and is easy to handle, the company said.
The scope of delivery of the new Minox MD 8×42 CWP includes a practical wrist strap as well as a soft case.
MINOX DC 9011 WP
The DC 9011 WP has a sturdy body that is waterproof up to a depth of 3m, and repels dust, water, sand and salt. Specially designed for extreme conditions and rough environments it is suitable for fans of water sports and the outdoors as well as extreme athletes, said Minox.
The digital camera features a resolution of 9 megapixels with dimensions measuring 94 x 63 x 24.4 mm. The 2.5-inch color monitor provides clear visibility of the composed subject, even when shooting pictures underwater. The user-friendly offers eight subject programs to choose from, depending on the situation.
The new Minox DC 9011 WP comes with a camera pouch, strap, software, USB-cable and 2x AAA batteries.
