INTERNATIONAL. Mars International Travel Retail (MITR) is introducing five new and updated packs at the TFWA World Exhibition next month (Stand number: Bay Village 9).
MITR has also extended its presence at the Cannes show with an enlarged display and meeting space with a balcony overlooking the ocean.
MITR General Manager Jack Tabbers said: “This year our strategy is to focus on and play to our strengths – we are presenting our best selling formats and brands which have a strong track record and proven sales.
“It is about reinforcing the importance of enduring global brands, successful product stories and promoting our key sectors of ‘sharing’ and ‘gifting’.”
The new 2011 MITR product range will feature the following additions:
M&M’s Choco Pouch – 1 Kilo: Following on from the successful M&M’s Peanut Pouch 1 Kilo, this new Milk Chocolate M&M’s sharing product maximises the growing popularity of the ‘party pack’ format.
M&M’s Peanut Dispenser 125g: An update and relaunch of the existing M&M’s Lifestyle Dispensers 125g range, the M&M’s Peanut Dispenser 125g features a new sporting theme. New character designs for this latest mid-sized dispenser range include Green playing tennis; Yellow riding a bike and playing golf; Red playing soccer and Blue playing basketball.
M&M’s Alarm Clock: Available in M&M’s Red or Yellow with a classic design presentation, the new clock contains 45g of M&M’s Choco and Peanut.
Celebrations Sharing Bag 240g: A new hanging format described as an ideal checkout item at airports and border shops or for inflight.
Celebrations Tube 400g: A new design following on from the successful Tall Jar, this smaller version features an assortment of MITR’s popular brands in miniature.
“We have learned a lot throughout the difficult trading climate of the last two years” added Tabbers. “Confectionery has proved its outstanding value and continued to rise above the economic climate across the international travel retail marketplace. We have great confidence in our product designs and brand formats and expect a strong performance during the next 12 months.”
MITR will be hosting a special VIP reception for long-standing MITR Consultant Stuart Bull, who plans to pursue other interests after over 40 years with the company.
The tribute to Stuart Bull will be held in the Grand Salon at the Carlton Hotel on Tuesday 19 October at 6pm.
