Mondaine’s new Simply Elegant watch |
Mondaine Group of Switzerland and its associated company Marlox Group of Hong Kong are to present their watch brands for the first time at the TFWA World Exhibition (Stand number: Bay Village 19A). The leading brands include Mondaine, Luminox, Esprit, Puma, Joop! and Pierre Cardin.
The Fall/Winter 2012 models to be shown at the TFWA World Exhibition will include:
MONDAINE
The simple design, the easy-to-read face, distinctive hands and the famous red seconds hand have made the Mondaine collection successful worldwide, according to the company. The brand uses the famous Swiss railway clock in its dial design.
One important trend in the watch industry are traditional, classical designs that are simpler, slightly smaller and thinner. In response, Mondaine is introducing a new collection called Simply Elegant.
Simply Elegant is made up of two styles in a variety of colour combinations, in 41mm and 36mm stainless steel cases. The Simply Elegant case is quite thin, only 6.2mm high, and the specially designed lugs of the case allow the watch to adapt to any size wrist so the watch sits comfortably flat.
The watch has a Swiss-made quartz movement and stainless steel case. The strap is either leather or stainless steel milanaise mesh bracelet. It is water resistant tested to 3 ATM.
The Simply Elegant 41mm is listed onboard SWISS airlines and retails at CHF265.00.

Luminox adds to its Blackout range |
LUMINOX
Luminox, the maker of the world’s most luminous timepieces thanks to its proprietary Luminox Light Technology, is to introduce the all-black Blackout series of timepieces aimed at professionals and athletes.
Following the success of its Blackout models introduced over the past two years, the brand has released an entry-level Blackout version of its Original Navy SEAL watch. In addition, Luminox will offer a top-end Field Valjoux Automatic Chronograph series in the Blackout range.
The look of the watches is completely blacked out, but telling time is easy thanks to a tone-on-tone look achieved with a jet-black dial and dark charcoal numbers and markings. The Original SEAL model is water resistant to 200 metres while the Field Valjoux Automatic Chronograph is capable of 100 metres.
Said to be a key colour for Luminox because of the covert nature of the wearers of the brand – SWAT teams, Navy SEALS, Stealth fighter pilots and other professionals – black is a natural for the newest line.
The Original Navy SEAL model 3051.BO is listed onboard numerous airlines, among others SWISS, Cathay Pacific and Virgin Atlantic. The recommended retail price onboard is CHF305.00.

Esprit Timewear Dolce Vita Ceramic |
ESPRIT
The Esprit Timewear watch brand stands for natural, relaxed styles inspired by a Californian zest for life. Featuring charming details and high quality production, they are designed for every occasion.
The three new Esprit product categories are Everyday, Business and Night Out.
For women, new Fall/Winter 2012 models are the Marin Aluminum, Houston Aluminum and Loft.
Described as ultralight and ultra-radiant, the new aluminum watches come in brilliant autumn colours. Thanks to the high-quality, lightweight material, these watches are described as relaxed and elegant with their surface shine and fashionable colours.
Marin Aluminum is a classical watch with a round case that is waterproof up to 10 ATM. Decorated with eight crystals, the colour of its dial matches the case and bracelet. Marin Aluminum is available as a three hand date watch or with a multi-function movement.
The Dolce Vita Ceramic has centre bracelet links made of lightweight ceramic. The design of Dolce Vita features 30 large, square crystals that put the focus on glamour.
For men, there are the elegant and masculine Cerritos and Cerritos Chrono models, which are available in classic three-hand date or sporty chronograph. In a 42mm or 45mm case, the dial has a sunray effect and sunken elements. The strap complements the look and features soft leather for wearing comfort.
In the Esprit Collection, Pherousa and Phorcys are described as a his and hers watch set. Pherousa, the chronograph with a 36mm diameter, is designed to appeal to sophisticated, modern women with its seven trendy colour variants. Details include the six screws, crystals on the bezel and raised hour markers on the dial.
The Phorcys men’s chronograph has a sporty, elegant look and a diameter of 45mm. Its striking feature is the bezel with six solid screws. The highly textured, deeply seated dial is also distinctive.
Both models have a leather strap.

PUMA TIME
Lifestyle accessories brand Puma offers three Puma Time segments: Sport, Lifestyle and Motorsport.
From the Sport range, the Fit watch is described as a personal trainer around your wrist. This timepiece has a range of functions: heart monitor; storage for 10 distinct exercise dates and times; ability to calculate caloric expenditure for each exercise; spot-on calculation of personal body fat percentage as well as a full range of running time measurements.
In the Lifestyle range, the contoured Form watch is made from a single form injection-moulded soft silicone. Its face has 3-D raised index numbers, and the signature racing form stripe logo runs from 4 to 7 o’clock. In eight colours, including blues and fuchsias, white and grey, they are water-resistant to 5 ATM.
The Motorsport Collection features racing multifunction and chronograph engineering. The men’s styles (Slice, Fast Track and Edge-L) are offered in black with a Puma red accent and the women’s (Boost-S, Tube Multi and Edge-S) in a sleek satin silver stainless steel or winter white with red accenting.
Designs include on-trend oversized dial options, balanced by specialised luxury details, including multi-layered faces, multi-dimensional hour mark figures, and bold-weighted IP-plated stainless steel bands.
In addition, the Motorsport Black Collection includes the EDGE S and L (40mm and 45mm respectively) models. The multifunction, stainless steel EDGE-S and classic sized, chronograph EDGE-L both feature an aluminum bezel with a stainless steel insert and engraved minute marks, a double layer dial design and the Puma logo positioned at the noon mark. The EDGE-S case is solid stainless steel edged in red, while the EDGE-L is black stainless steel with red. A double injected, soft PU watch strap features a contemporary embossed microdot design down the length of the strap, edged and lined on the interior in red.
The ULTRASIZE uses a minimum of elements. Simple straight line hour marks with a stylised 3 and Puma cat logo at 12:00. Each indicator is elevated high off the floor of the dial to achieve a striking three-dimensional effect. A left-sided crown further distinguishes the 50mm oversized case design; all this is finished with a double injected polyurethane matt black strap. Water-resistant to 10 ATM.
TRANSMISSION is a multifunction watch featuring a corrugated-edge metal case design, curved dial ring with minute marks and a futuristic oversized dial layout with four sub-dials. Sub-dials indicate 24 hour time, day of the week, month, and date. The modern look and feel is refined with the almost black-on-black colour scheme, and integrated metal insert with the polyurethane strap. The watch is water-resistant to 10 ATM.
